Originally called Paauilo Store, our small business has been run by the Saito family for three generations. In 1972, Earl’s Snack Shop a fast food restaurant opened, and Paauilo Store became the local gathering place. After the closure of Hamakua Sugar Company, the community underwent several changes, and in time, the business evolved into a convenience store. Today, in addition to operating the store and lunch wagon, we offer custom catering.
