Lady Justice
Today I agree with the rest of them...
Justice is Blind.
How is it that the innocent are put behind bars,
and kept away from their love ones,
and the real criminals are walking around free.
Free to make more bad choices,
and ruin more innocent lives.
What hurts even more
is when the criminals are family.
The same people you would give anything to help.
The same people that you would go out of your way for,
and never expect anything in return.
Then they creep in, in the middle of the night
and come morning light,
your whole world has changed.
It is in our nature and belief to forgive,
and yet, its a true struggle.
The only hope that makes it all bareable,
is knowing that Gods wrath is
worse than anything my human mind can comprehend.
May God have mercy on your soul.

Full Time vs. My Time
Although I wasn't fired... and actually quit the steady 9 to 5 job where I was an actual asset, quitting was just as liberating. In this tough society where leaving a solid job was frowned upon, I could never get paid enough to choose the office over the time spent with my husband. After being apart for months at a time, every moment is precious. No one on their death bed wishes they spent more time at work. I gave up everything to be with him and my family, and I don't regret it in the slightest.
Thanks for the great resume boss, but I'm spending the rest of my life following my passion and not missing out on who really matters the most. Even if that means taking a pay cut.
They are worth it.
-----Email Message----
Being laid off last October was one of the best things that ever happened to me-- sometimes you have to do something you really hate before you find your true passion and purpose in life.

Big Winner
We had already played a round of games, and spent all of our tokens and we thought we did well as far as that goes. That was until we counted it up and realized that we were a couple hundred short for the wanted swords.
So we dug around and came up with a few more tokens. The most expensive game of course yielded the least tickets, so we were reluctant to play it again. W however, wanted to try his hand at it. When I heard his distinct call over all the games and laughter, I found him standing in awe.
The Big Bass game had very low odds of landing on 100 tickets and even slimmer chance of landing on 1000. W had missed the 100 mark, and walked away with 4 measly tickets... not worth it at all. He made up for it thou, and then some. We now had more than enough for swords. Come to think of it, we should have bought 4 instead of just 2.

I crave you, Cranberry Bar, right down to my 7 Layers
Its one thing to make it yourself, but its a completely different experience when you eat it because someone made it for you. Some how the sweet is sweeter and the fresh is fresher. Who wouldn't want to be a part of the delightful treat.
I would have loved to show you a picture of the whole pan of Cranberry Bars, but that has some how slipped out the door and by now has been devoured with hot coffee of light morning chit chat.
Thank you Ian for bringing into our life, your sweet delight.
Alas, the 7 Layer Dip made its way to join the departed Cranberry Bars. Parting is such sweet sorrow. The fresh tomatoes and crisp lettus beckon your taste buds to a tango of flavors. Although each flavor delicious alone, when combined, sets whole other realm into play. Edible art one might call it. But no one wants to be caught licking the canvas.

absolutely enjoyed my ME
One Haoles' View of Oahu (Borrowed From Brenda's Blog)
I got a good laugh at this, but it was nice to see the nice things she had to say, my favorite, the last one of course. Thought that I would share them with you. Really I just wanted to know where it was when I needed a fresh look at rice for breakfast. Who knew it was so foreign.
After being in Hawaii for almost a week, I've noticed these things on the island of O'ahu:
•Surfer dudes smile a lot
•The houses all kind of remind me of beach houses (oh wait, they all are)
•Everyone is tan in February
•People drive slow on the island
•They eat lots of rice, even at breakfast
•Everything is relatively close
•Hibiscus flowers on clothes everywhere
•Guys like to brag about surfing injuries
•Seems like there are more tourists than locals on the island
•They call adults "auntie and uncle", its endearing
•Every social gathering somehow involves food
•The people here love to laugh and sing
•They kiss on the cheek when they greet and say goodbye
•Flowers are plentiful, fragrant and amazing
•Everything is done at a slower pace (a little hard for me since I am usually on fast forward)
•Most everyone has an Obama story (since he is from here)
•Everywhere I look there is something beautiful to see

FREE WIFI

When did you have to start paying for Wifi at Starbucks? I thought that it came standard. (Before I had access to a laptop) You buy a cup of coffee, you check your email. Since when was it, buy a Happy Meal, check your stocks? That's right, your facebook status can read, "Eating fries at McDonald's" at no extra charge. Not that I've seen one Notebook in Ronald's House, but that just makes me want to be the first. I can get use to Mickey D's McCafe and Banana Pies, for a limited time only. So c'mon big bad chain of Starbucks, bring the free wifi back for those of us that spend all that money of a cup of joe, and cant afford the wifi that should come on the side.
